Staci Hausch

Intern Summer 2010

Account Coordinator June 2010-June 2011

You will get out of your internship as much as you put in it. The hard work and devotion I put in as an intern rewarded me with the opportunity to become an Account Coordinator. One of the most rewarding aspects of this internship is the skill set you will gain. Beyond marketing and PR, I learned the importance of professionalism, creativity and communication.

Brenda and Sandra are veterans in the business, and they are wonderful sources of knowledge and advice. I think I grew as much personally as I did professionally after getting to know the employees here.

Put your best foot forward and really use your time to grow and learn. The best advice I can offer you is to be as involved as you can, and to make yourself indispensable to the company. Everything you do here as an intern is greatly appreciated!

Kate Farrow

Intern February-September 2011

As I’ve been preparing my job hunt portfolio, it has been absolutely astounding how much impressive work I have to show from this internship. I have written press releases, created Share of Voice Analysis reports, worked on web content strategy for client websites—even created the new Marketing Works website! The connections I’ve made are ones that I can call or email five months from now and say “Hey, how are you doing?” and they’ll know who I am! This is definitely an experience that keeps on giving. Plus, the ladies here are some of the nicest you could work with. Over the past few months I feel like I have really become part of the team!

Brock Weaver

Intern Summer 2011

I began as an intern with Marketing Works in June of 2011, and was quickly thrust into the day-to-day tasks and projects of the firm. From managing social media to setting up events, as well as working with clients directly, I was responsible for work that was real and meaningful to the overall organization, not something I can say of all other internships. An internship at Marketing Works has provided me with great real world experience of what marketing really is, and I’ve done things I’ve never done before, such as draft a presentation for a client for a multi-million dollar deal. Everyone at the office was friendly and helped create a great atmosphere to learn and grow as a student of marketing, and I feel prepared now to take on the real world.

John Beyer

Intern March-June 2012

On my last day here, I couldn’t help but smile thinking about how much I had gained from the experience. During my short time at Marketing Works, I was given the chance to take control of various social media channels, conduct important/meaningful research, work hands-on with clients and write various forms of copy (SEO incorporated content for a client’s website, Marketing Works blogs, press releases, client newsletters, eBlasts, etc). I even got to gain some administration experience that may come in handy in the future.

Thanks to this company, I am now confident in my abilities and feel great jumping into my job search. I am sure that before long I will be employed at a great company and I will owe it all to the kind, caring and hard working team at Marketing Works.
